3.4. Assembling the Pedestal

1. Locate the Items in the General
Assembly (GA) crate;
Equipment Frame and upper post
BUC Boxes (left & right)
Base post section
Middle post section (behind)
Counter weight (left & right
2. Remove the sides & top of the GA
crate to access the items inside.
3. Remove the shipping hardware
that mounts the middle post to the
pallet of the crate. Discard this
hardware.
4. Set the middle post section
(approx. weight 240lbs) on the
base pedestal section. Assure that
the notches are aligned to true
North.
5. Apply Loctite to threads of the
mounting bolts. Install the bolts &
washers and tighten to torque
spec.
6. There is a burnished 6mm
threaded hole in the top side of the
bottom plate of the middle post
section.
7. There is another burnished 6mm
threaded hole in the under side of
the top plate of the Base Stand
post section.
8. Apply Loctite to threads of 2 6mm
bolts. Use the bolts & washers to
install a ground strap around the
mating of these to plates.
9. Tighten the bolts torque spec.
