NOTE:
Beforeyoutowtheaircraft,opentheexternalpowerreceptacleaccessdooratthelower
leftsideofthefuselage,andputtheNWSdisarmingswitchintheDISARMposition.
Aftertheaircraftistowedinposition,closetheswitchprotectivecapdowntomovethe
NWSdisarmingswitchtotheARMposition.
(8)Makesurethecommunicationisclearbetweenthemaintenancepersononground,mainte-
nancepersononboardandtowtractordriver.
(9)Makesurethattheaircraftispowered.
(10)MakesurethatthepressureofNo.1orNo.2hydraulicsystemisnormal.
(11)Makesurethepressureofinboardandoutboardwheelbrakeaccumulatorsisnormal.
(12)Makesurethattherampareaandtowingwayareclearofallequipmentandotherunwanted
items.
(13)ConnectthetowbartothetowtractorandtotheaircraftFigure2T owingFitting.
(14)Makesurethatalltheaircraftgroundwiresareremoved.
(15)Makesurethatthepositionlightsandtheanti-collisionlightsareon,andmakesurethatthese
lightsoperatenormally.
(16)Closethepassengerentrydoor,emergencyexitdoors,cargodoors,servicedoorsandallser-
vicepanels.
B.Towtheaircraft.
NOTE:
Thefollowingprocedures(1)-(4),(7)-(9)and(11)aredonebyaircraftmaintenanceperson.
Thefollowingprocedures(5)-(6),and(10)aredonebytowvehicledriver.
(1)Makesurethewheelchocksareremoved.
(2)Makesurethattheparkingbrakesarereleased.
(3)MakesureEICASappears:TOWINGPERMITTED,noticethemaintenanceongroundtobegin
thetowing.
(4)Noticethetowvehicledrivertotowtheaircraft.
(5)Themaximumallowabletowingangleofthenosewheelis102°leftorrightoftheneutralposi-
tion.T owtheaircraftslowlystraightaheadbeforeyoutrytoturn.
(6)T owtheaircraftstraightaheadforatleast12m(39.5ft)beforecompletingthetowing.
