A.Preparation
WARNING:MAKESURETHATTHEAIRPLANEISINASAFECONDITIONBEFOREYOUSTART
THEREFUEL/DEFUELPROCUDURE.IFYOUDONOTOBEYTHISWARNING,IN-
JURYTOPERSONSANDDAMAGETOEQUIPMENTCANOCCUR.
(1)Whendefuelingtheaircraft,youmustreadtheprecautionsandlimitsfortherefuel/defueloper-
ationcarefullyandobeyitstrictly.
(2)Dothetaskofaircraftstaticgrounding.
(3)Usebondingjumperstoconnecttherefuelvehicletoapprovedgroundingorbondingconnec-
tions.
CAUTION:DONOTOPERATETHEFLAP/SLATSYSTEMIFTHEACCESSPANEL611CBIS
OPENED.
(4)Openthis(these)accesspanel(s):InboardLeadingEdgeAccessDoorNo.3-Right611CB.
(5)Supplyexternalpower/APUpowertotheairplane.
NOTE:
IfAPUoperationorpowersupplyisnecessaryduringdefueling,payattentiontothefuel
quantityofthetankthatsuppliesfuel.Ifthefuellevelinthetankislowerthanthefuel
lowlevel,theAPUmayshutdown.
B.Procedure
WARNING:AFTERTHEFUELTANKISDEFUELED,DONOTLETTHETANKFUELPUMPCON-
TINUEOPERATINGFORMORETHAN15MINUTESTOPREVENTEXPLOSIONAND
DAMAGETOEQUIPMENT.
(1)Dothesestepstopressuredefueltheaircraft:
(a)SetthePOWERSELECTIONswitchontherefuel/defuelcontrolpaneltotheNORMAL
position.
