Why WIDEsystem does not detect my Contex scanner?
    • D
      David ShermanAug 22, 2025
If WIDEsystem isn't detecting your scanner, consider the following: * The installed WIDEsystem driver version on your PC might be older than your scanner model. Install the WIDEsystem drivers from the CD-ROM that came with your scanner. * If WIDEsystem drivers weren't installed before connecting the scanner, shut down the scanner and PC, unplug the connections, and restart the installation from step 1. * Check for loose interface connections. Unplug and firmly plug in the interface cable on both ends. * Reboot the system: shut down the scanner and PC, unplug the connections. Then plug in the interface connections, turn on the PC, and when Windows is loaded, turn on the scanner.

How to remove vertical lines on Contex Scanner?
    • G
      Gary AnthonyAug 26, 2025
If you're seeing thin vertical lines in your scanned images that aren't on the original, it's often due to an unclean glass plate. Try these steps: 1. Clean the glass plate and rollers. 2. Wipe the document with a dry, lint-free cloth before scanning to remove any dirt. 3. If the problem continues after cleaning, calibrate the scanner using the scanner maintenance program. This can help the scanner recalibrate after dirt removal. 4. If the issue persists after cleaning and calibration, inspect the glass plate for scratches. If damaged, replace the glass plate.
