Maintenance
Machine Cleaning: To uphold optimal performance, it is essential to conduct regular
cleanup within the machine. This practice safeguards against any hindrance to its
operation. This process should be completed before every print session.
Hot End Maintenance: In the event of an extruder blockage, employ the following
solution: After preheating and filament removal, elevate the extruder temperature.
Then, utilize an extruder cleaner to gently probe the extruder from top to bottom until
the obstructing filaments are successfully cleared. This procedure is to be executed after
encountering extruder blockages.
Nozzle Replacement: As a part of routine maintenance, it is recommended to replace
the nozzle after reaching a cumulative print time of 500 hours. Regular assessment of
wire output is advised, addressing extruder blockages, if necessary, particularly after
every filament change.
Nozzle Residue Check: Ensure the nozzle is free of filament residue before each print
by inspecting and, if needed, employing heat to facilitate residue removal using
appropriate tools.
Printing Platform Care: Before initiating each print job, inspect the platform surface for
residual filaments or glue. If present, clean the platform surface to ensure optimal
adhesion.
Motion Mechanism Lubrication: Maintain the motion mechanism's performance by
lubricating the XYZ optic axis. This maintenance practice should be carried out after a
cumulative print time of 500 hours.
Equipment Self-Test: Enhance the longevity of your equipment by performing a self-
test involving axis movement optimization, vibration vein refinement, and auto leveling.
It is recommended to undertake this self-test after a cumulative print time of 300 hours.
Filament Replacement Technique: For filament replacement of the same type, adhere
to the regular Retreat-Feed process. When switching to different filament types, preheat
the nozzle to the target temperature of the current filament. Subsequently, initiate a
filament retreat, replace it with the target filament, and further preheat the nozzle to the
higher extrusion temperature between the two filaments. After a 30-second feed to
ensure complete filament extrusion, reset the nozzle temperature to match the current
filament's requirements.
By diligently following these comprehensive maintenance guidelines, you will
undoubtedly prolong the lifespan and performance of your machine while ensuring
consistent and high-quality 3D printing results.
