INTENDED USE
Keep in mind that every bicycle type is built for a specic intended
use. Be sure to use your CUBE EPO pedelec only according to its in-
tended use, as it may otherwise not withstand the stress, fail and
cause an accident with unforeseeable consequences! Using it for an-
other than the intended use will also void the warranty.
1. Pedelecs (pedal electric cycles) are bicycles with auxiliary motor
that only switches on when the pedals are moved by the rider.
You do not need a driver’s licence for riding a CUBE EPO pedelec,
if the motor assistance switches o automatically at a speed of 25
kph/15 mph.
Unlimited use of cycle lanes is permitted with pedelecs. Wearing
a helmet is recommended, but not compulsory.
CUBE EPO pedelecs are designed for cycling exclusively on lanes
and roads with a smooth surface. Only use trails that are allowed
for bicycles. Pedelecs are not suitable for o-road use. Using
pedelecs o-road can result in crashes with unforeseeable conse-
quences.
2. Speed pedelecs or S-pedelecs are bicycles with auxiliary motor
that provides assistance to the rider even beyond speeds of 25
kph/15 mph.
For riding these speed pedelecs you need an insurance as well as
a driving licence. Inform yourself about the regulations for riding
a speed pedelec in your country.
Do not use speed pedelecs on cycle lanes. Wearing a helmet is
recommended, but not compulsory.
