RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
The rechargeable battery is the electrical power storage for the aux-
iliary drive; it is integrated into the seat post

or mounted at the
pannier rack or down tube of your CUBE EPO pedelec.
• By pressing the ON-button under your saddle
(b)
for 5 seconds and
releasing it, you can start the pairing.
• By pressing the ON-button under your saddle for 10 seconds and
releasing it, the rechargeable battery of your CUBE EPO pedelec
changes into the deep-sleep mode.
• By pressing the ON-button under your saddle for 15 seconds and
releasing it, the drive system is in the emergency mode. By press-
ing the push botton under your saddle once again the emergency
mode is deactivated.

In emergency mode the CUBE EPO pedelec runs with me-
dium assistance level, in case the display is no longer avail-
able or the display’s battery is empty.
The components of the drive system of your CUBE EPO change into
the sleep mode after dierent periods of time:
• After 7 minutes of non-operation: The speed sensor changes into
the sleep mode. You can wake up the sensor with a magnet.
• After 20 minutes of non-operation: The display changes into the
sleep mode. You can wake up the display by pressing any button
on the display.
• After 8 days of non-operation: The rechargeable battery changes
into the deep-sleep mode. In this mode the battery’s self-discharge
is reduced to a minimum. In this mode the rechargeable battery
can be stored.

Do not charge the battery with any other than the sup-
plied charger

, not even if the electrical characteris-
tics or plug contacts seem to comply with your battery.

Make sure to charge the rechargeable battery only with
the supplied charger. Using another charger can lead to
malfunctions, limited service life or re and explosions.
