5. ADVICE FROM THE CHEFS
• To preserve the non-stick qualities of the cooking plates, avoid heating them for too long with
nothing on them and/or cleaning them with anything abrasive.
• After use, blot dry the excess grease on the plates using kitchen paper. You will clean the plates
more quickly this way once they have cooled.
• It is best to use wood or silicone utensils to return foods and to avoid cutting food on the hot plates.
• Cut your food into pieces of identical size to ensure even cooking.
• With practice, you will become familiar with cooking times and the necessary adjustment to cook
the food to your taste.
• For the best results, lightly grease your food using a brush before grilling. The grease will transfer
the heat more successfully.
• Prepare spice- or condiment-based marinades for meats or sh - grilled food will be tastier and food
cooked on the griddle more tender.
• If you have grilled sh and shellsh on the plates, rub the plates with a cloth soaked in lemon juice.
6. CLEANING AND STORAGE
• After use, turn the thermostats to the ‘OFF’ position, unplug the griddle and let it cool down
completely (at least 1/2 hour) before cleaning it.
• Use the cleaning/scraping tool to remove any food residue that remains on the cooking plates .
• Empty the juice-collection tray after use.
• Remove the hot plates by pushing in the hot plate unlocking buttons.
• The cleaning/scraping tool, the juice-collection tray and the plates can be washed in hot soapy
water or in the dishwasher.
• Do not use metal objects such as knives or forks or abrasive sponges and products as they may
damage the coating.
• Use a damp cloth and a little soft detergent to clean the body of the appliance. Never use abrasive
sponges or products.
• Regularly cleaning the appliance prevents build-up. The griddle will then continue to be easy to
clean and will perform at the same high level.
• Before putting away the griddle, put the juice-collection tray and the cleaning spatula back in place.
