IMPORTANT NOTE: The dual-axis technol-
ogy is most effective and most comfortable
when the following cues are given. These brief
instructions, when properly given, improve the
motor learning process, which is the key to the
safe and effective performance of ANY exercise.
After only a few repetitions of each with a light
weight the movement will be mastered.
The Wide Pulldown
• Grip the outer handles and lean back slightly
at the hips.
• Depress the scapula (pinch the shoulder
blades down and back).
• Move the handles outward first, then bring
the arms down fully to your sides. Keep the
elbows directly beneath the hands throughout
the entire range of motion.
• Slowly return to the starting position overhead by allowing the scapula to move as needed,
but maintaining lateral resistance by not touching the handles together at the top.
