config snmp engineID
Syntax
config snmp engineID <snmp_engineID>
Description
The config snmp engineID command configures a name for the
SNMP engine on the Switch.
Parameters
<snmp_engineID> − An alphanumeric string that will be used to
identify the SNMP engine on the Switch.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To give the SNMP agent on the Switch the name “0035636666”
DXS-3326GSR:4#config snmp engineID 0035636666
Command: config snmp engineID 0035636666
Success.

show snmp engineID
Purpose Used to display the identification of the SNMP engine on the
Switch.
Syntax
show snmp engineID
Description
The show snmp engineID command displays the identification of
the SNMP engine on the Switch.
Parameters None.
Restrictions None.
Example usage:
To display the current name of the SNMP engine on the Switch:

Command: show snmp engineID
SNMP Engine ID : 0035636666

create snmp group
Purpose Used to create a new SNMP group, or a table that maps SNMP
users to SNMP views
