5.0 Configuring Your PC
Set up the Serial Console using the following instructions for either Windows and Linux systems.
5.1 Windows
1. Install Serial-over-USB driver
a) Plug Serial cable into the RVP-TDA3x and into your PC.
b) Depending on your Windows installation, the driver may install automatically. If it doesn’t,
download the driver here:
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM%20v2.10.00%20WHQL%20Certified.exe
2. Install terminal software
a) D3 Engineering recommends Tera Term, downloadable here:
http://logmett.com/tera-term-the-latest-version
3. Configure Serial Port
a) Open Tera Term and select the Serial radio box, as shown in Figure 3 (below):

b) The RVP-TDA3x will enumerate two Serial ports. Select the COM entry with the higher value.
