Detection
A radiation fin temperature rise is detected by checking the radiation fin thermistor with the
compressor on.
Malfunction
Decision
Conditions
 The radiation fin temperature with the compressor on is above 221°F(105°C).
 The error is cleared when the temperature drops below 206.6°F(97°C).
 If a radiation fin temperature rise takes place 4 times successively, the system will be shut
down.
 The error counter will reset itself if this or any other error does not occur during the following 60-
minute compressor running time (total time).

 Fin temperature rise due to short-circuit
 Fin thermistor defective
 Connector in poor contact
 Outdoor unit PCB defective
 Silicon grease is not applied properly on the heat radiation fin after replacing outdoor unit PCB
 Foreign matter stuck in the outdoor unit fan
