SiUS04-924 Control Specification
42 Function and Control
3.15 Facility Setting Switch (cooling at low outdoor
temperature)
Outline This function is limited to facilities where the air conditioning is for cooling equipment, such as a
computer room. Never use it in occupied spaces such as residences or offices.
Detail You can expand the operation range to 0°F(–17.8°C) by turning on switch B (SW4) on the PCB. If
the outdoor temperature falls to –4°F(–20°C) or lower, the operation will stop. If the outdoor
temperature rises, the operation will start again.
Caution 1. If the outdoor unit is installed where the heat exchanger of the unit is exposed to direct wind,
provide a windbreak wall.
2. Intermittent noises may be produced by the indoor unit due to the outdoor fan turning on and off
when using facility settings.
3. Do not place humidifiers or other items that might raise the humidity in rooms where facility
settings are being used.
A humidifier might cause excess moisture to drip from the indoor unit outlet vent.
4. Use the indoor unit at the highest level of airflow rate.
