12. In the Diagnostics menu, press 5 to open the Pixel Test Activation menu, and press 1
to run the Pixel Test. After a slight delay, the Pixel Test Results menu opens. Press 1 to
view the Pixel Test Results Bitmap.
13. Return to the View Peripherals menu, and check that the AC power surge suppressor
in the control cabinet (Surge Suppressor 1) reports Pass.
14. Check that the AC power surge suppressor in the power cabinet (Surge Suppressor 2)
reports Pass.
15. Check the time and date in the controller and set them if they are incorrect.
16. Test the communication system with the central controller.
a. Have the central controller operator call the DDMS controller, download a new
test message that will not misdirect trafc into the controller, and display the
message. Verify the message displays properly on the LED panels.
b. Have the central controller operator blank the panels, delete the message, and
terminate the call to the DDMS controller.
