Configuring the ECL 2000
EI.65.D4.02
34
Unit The Unit parameter is available when Sensor is set to Flow or to Energy. When
Sensor is set to Flow, the Unit parameter can be set as follows:
Value Description
l/h
Water flow is being measured in liter per hour
m
3
/h
Water flow is being measured in m
3
per hour
Note:
When the flow unit is set to l/h, there is a risk of an overflow error if the measured
water flow exceeds 1024 l/h. This will lead to a blank flow reading on the
ECL 2000’s display. See the ECL 2000 LON Option Technical Manual (ref. [6]).
When Sensor is set to Energy, the Unit parameter can be set as follows:
Value Description
kW
Energy is being measured in kW. When this setting is active, the
accumulated energy is measured in MWh
MW
Energy is being measured in MW. When this setting is active, the
accumulated energy is measured in GWh
Note:
When the energy unit is set to kW, there is a risk of an overflow error if the meas-
ured energy (power consumption) exceeds 1024 kW. This will lead to a blank en-
ergy reading on the ECL 2000’s display. See the ECL 2000 LON Option Technical
Manual (ref. [6]).
5.4.4 Relay Output
In some applications, you can also customize the ECL 2000’s relay output P3.
The relay output parameter Function can be set to the following values:
Function Value Description
Pump 3
The output controls a circulation pump. This is the default setup for
some applications
Timer
When this value is selected, one of the controller’s circuits is dedi-
cated to a timer function. Thus, the controller can switch on and off
some external device. The output is set to ON and OFF in accordance
with the 7-day plan for the timer circuit.
Alarm
The relay output is used as an alarm indication, i.e. the output is set
OFF and ON according to the alarm setup for P3 (see ECL 2000
User’s Guide, ref. [2])
