The dBTechnologies FIFTY LINE is a professional modular point source sound system, designed and developed in Italy, incorporating years of experience and innovation in acoustics, electronics, and materials research. The system is comprised of two main components: the FIFTY TOP active 2-way speaker and the FIFTY SUB active subwoofer.

Function Description:

The FIFTY LINE system is engineered for applications requiring high sound pressure, making it ideal for outdoor live installations and events. Its modular design allows for versatile mounting configurations to adapt to various situations. The FIFTY TOP functions as an active 2-way speaker, while the FIFTY SUB acts as an active bass-reflex subwoofer. The standard configuration typically includes two FIFTY SUBs and one FIFTY TOP.

Usage Features:

User Interface:

Presets: Flat – user/service (for both FIFTY TOP and FIFTY SUB). The FIFTY TOP has eight different equalization settings, with presets 1-4 for a single system (two subs, one top) and presets 5-8 for two systems. The FIFTY SUB also has presets.
Controls:
- FIFTY TOP: Rotary encoder (Preset), 4 System LED, 3 RDNet LED
- FIFTY SUB: Rotary encoder (subwoofer level), 4 System LED, 3 RDNet LED
Subwoofer Level (FIFTY SUB): Rotary selector to modify the audio signal level at the subwoofer output (0, +3, +6, -1, -2, -3, -4, -6 dB). This control does not affect the signal from the Output Link.
USER/SERVICE Button: Pressing this button changes the acoustic parameters according to the preset stored in memory. Users can set speaker equalization via AURORA NET software and save changes to the Service/User preset.

Connections:

Audio Inputs/Outputs: Balanced XLR cables for input and output.
- FIFTY TOP: "Input" connects to the audio signal from the FIFTY SUB. "Output Link" links the signal to other speakers in a daisy-chain.
- FIFTY SUB: "Input" connects to the audio signal from the mixer. "Output Link" links the signal to other devices in a daisy-chain.
RDNet Network Connection: Compatible with network cables fitted with etherCON/RJ45 connectors. "Data In" connects to the network signal (from FIFTY SUB for TOP, or from RDNet Control 2/8 for SUB). "Data Out" links the network to other devices in a daisy-chain.
Power Supply:
- "MAINS INPUT" (powerCON TRUE1® compatible) for full-range power supply.
- "MAINS LINK" (powerCON TRUE1® compatible) for linking power to other modules. Up to 6 (1+5) modules in 220-240Vac countries and 3 (1+2) modules in 100-120Vac countries can be linked.
USB SERVICE DATA: Standard Type B USB port for firmware updates via PC and USB BURNER MANAGER software.

Installation and Configuration:

Stacked Installation: The system can be placed on the floor. The DGS-FIFTYSUB stabiliser kit accessory is available for safe ground placement. Two subwoofers can be placed side by side and secured with a V-bracket to extend acoustic coverage and sound pressure.
Flown Installation: FIFTY TOP speakers can be hung using the DRK-FIFTY flybar (not supplied) for greater distances. For a cluster of two speakers, the SRK-FIFTYTOP bracket kit (not supplied) is used, with the top attached to the flybar upside down for optimal high-frequency acoustic coverage. The dB Technologies logo, normally at the bottom, serves as a reference. The FIFTY SUB cannot be hung.
Handles: Built-in (2 per side) for easy transport.
Accessories:
- DO-FIFTY: Adaptable dolly for transporting top and sub.
- DRK-FIFTYTOP: Flybar for hanging FIFTY TOP speakers.
- SRK-FIFTYTOP: Brackets for hanging FIFTY TOP speakers in cascade.

Remote Control (AURORA NET Software):

Real-time management of various parameters for both FIFTY TOP and FIFTY SUB.
Monitoring: Input/output signals, audio compression on output signal and acoustic components, amplifier temperature.
Control: Attenuate input signal, MUTE driver/woofer separately, SOLO woofer/driver separately, apply high-pass filter, calibrate speaker inclinometer, save settings as presets for remote recall, equalize speaker, add delay.

Firmware Updates:

It is crucial to keep the product firmware updated for full functionality.
Firmware can be updated via the USB SERVICE DATA port using a PC and USB BURNER MANAGER software, or through the Firmware Update section of the AURORA NET software.
Regularly check the "DOWNLOADS" section of the dBTechnologies website for updates.

Troubleshooting:

Speaker does not power up: Check power supply connection, power cable insertion. Contact service if issues persist.
Speaker powers on but no sound: Check audio signal input connections (preferably with Neutrik® cables), cable integrity, and ensure mixer/audio source is on and outputting a signal.
Distorted sound: Adjust audio source volume first (if source LIMITER LED is on, signal may already be distorted). Check for damaged connection cables and replace if necessary. Verify preset EQ settings saved on the Service/User button.

Safety Instructions:

Protect the module from moisture.
Do not attempt to open the amplifier.
In case of malfunction, immediately turn off power, disconnect from mains, and contact an authorized service center.
Only use the provided power cable or other dBTechnologies power cables.
The USB SERVICE DATA connection is exclusively for firmware updates; do not connect other USB devices to avoid damage.
Avoid prolonged operation with the limiter LED steadily lit or flashing, as this indicates excessive stress and distortion.
Ensure secure and stable installation to prevent hazards. Comply with local safety regulations.
Periodically check all components for damage.
Design, calculation, installation, testing, and maintenance of professional audio systems must be performed by authorized personnel.
Never hang the subwoofer from its side handles; use manufacturer-approved brackets and accessories.
For outdoor use, anchor the system to prevent movement due to wind or atmospheric agents.
The FIFTY SUB cannot be hung.
