The screen menu options are displayed in the function bar. The user has the following
options (keys from left to right):
OK Opens the Program Manager menu (Section 7.2)
Contrast -- Reduces screen contrast
Contrast + Increases screen contrast
Contrast Standard Default screen contrast
Setup Opens the Setup menu (Section 7.6)
The right function key is not used in this display (empty field in the function bar)
If you do not press a function key, after approx. 10 seconds the Program Manager
menu is displayed on the screen (Fig. 8)

The
AUSTROMAT D4 has 200 memories for firing programs. 100 of these
(program number 001 - 100) can be reserved for set programs, or can be freely
assigned (depending on the version). The other 100 (program number 101 - 200) are
available for individual firing programs. In order to distinguish between the programs,
the program number and name and program entries are displayed in different font
colors on screen when the set programs are preset.
The program with number 001 (PREHEATING PROGRAM) has a light background and
is the default selection suggested immediately after switching the furnace on.
