0 INTRODUCTION
Dear Customer,
Congratulations on your new
AUSTROMAT D4 ceramic furnace. DEKEMA’s
many years of experience in the field of dental furnace construction have gone into
this equipment ensuring a very high level of quality, and exceptional performance
and reliability. In order to take full advantage of the possibilities your ceramic
furnace offers to obtain superior results, we would like to ask you to spend a little
time studying these instructions. The technical specifications and a description of
the furnace can be found in Sections 2 and 3. In order to ensure reliable, long-
lasting operation of the ceramic furnace, please observe the safety measures
indicated in Sections 4 and 5 and the suggestions regarding service and
maintenance of the furnace in Section 6. The
AUSTROMAT D4 is a menu-
operated furnace whose functions are controlled via keyboard input and screen
readouts. The control menus are described in Section 7 from the initial steps to the
device’s setup settings. Practical examples help clarify the explanations. Section 8
covers making records and the link to the computer. Section 9, Practical Tips, is to
assist you in troubleshooting. References in the text refer to this section. Finally, the
index enables you to quickly find specific functions or commands.

Ensure that all components have been supplied, and that the equipment has not
suffered any visible damage in transport. If this is not the case, please immediately
contact your service partner. Please store the packaging (two cardboard boxes and
foam for protecting against jolts during transportation) in case you need to ship the
equipment at a later date.
