Prerequisites
1. Remove the base cover.
2. Remove the battery.
Procedure
1. Open the latch and disconnect the status-light board cable from the system board.
2. Remove the speaker cable from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.
3. Peel off the foam that secures the status-light board to the palm-rest assembly.
4. Lift the status-light board off the palm-rest assembly.
