The existing passwords are not disabled (erased) until the system boots with the password jumper on
pins 2 and 3. However, before you assign a new system and/or setup password, you must reinstall
the password jumper back to pins 1 and 2.
NOTE: If you assign a new system and/or setup password with the jumper on pins 2 and 3, the
system disables the new password(s) the next time it boots.
6. Turn off the sled using the operating system commands or the CMC.
7. Remove the sled from the enclosure to access the jumpers.
8. Move the jumper on the system-board jumper from pins 2 and 3 to pins 1 and 2.
9. Install the sled in the enclosure.
10. Turn on the sled.
11. Assign a new system and/or setup password.
