4. Disconnect any cables that are connected to the expansion card.
5. Remove the riser blanks if no riser cards are installed.
Steps
Removing Expansion Card Risers Blanks
1. If the risers are going to be replaced, remove riser blanks, and if required loosen the captive screws.
Unlock the metal bracket latches on either sides.
Slide and remove the metal brackets, install the expansion cards and lock the latches on both ends to secure the
brackets in place.
NOTE:
You must install a filler bracket over an empty expansion card slot to maintain Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) certification of the system. The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and aid in
proper cooling and airflow inside the system.
