Do you have a question about the Delta CFP2000 Series and is the answer not in the manual?
The Delta IP55 Fan and Pump Drive CFP2000 Series is an AC motor drive designed for industrial automation applications, particularly for fan and pump systems. It offers robust control and protection features, making it suitable for various environments.
The CFP2000 series provides Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) control for AC motors, supporting V/F (Voltage/Frequency), SVC (Sensorless Vector Control), and PMSVC (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Vector Control) modes. It can reach a starting torque of up to 150% at 0.5 Hz and offers a speed response ability of 5 Hz (vector control can reach up to 40 Hz). Torque limits are configurable, with a maximum of 130% for light duty and 160% for normal duty. The drive also includes advanced features like momentary power loss ride-through, speed search, over-torque detection, 16-step speed control, S-curve acceleration/deceleration, auto-tuning, slip compensation, JOG function, PID control with sleep function, and energy-saving control.
For multi-motor applications, the drive supports circulation control, allowing up to eight motors to be connected and operated in sequence based on fixed time or fixed quantity circulation. This feature helps prevent motors from becoming rusty during long periods of inactivity and manages flow quantity and pressure range control.
Communication capabilities are extensive, including Modbus RS-485, CANopen, PROFIBUS DP, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET via optional cards. This allows for seamless integration into various industrial networks and control systems.
The CFP2000 drive is designed for ease of use and integration. The digital keypad (KPC-CC01) provides a user-friendly interface for parameter setup, quick start, application selection, fault record viewing, language setup, time setup, and display configuration. It supports both wall mounting and embedded mounting, with an IP66 protection level for the keypad.
The drive offers flexible control options, including digital inputs (FWD, REV, MI1–MI8, COM) configurable for SINK (NPN) or SOURCE (PNP) modes, and analog inputs (AVI1, AVI2, ACI, ACM) for frequency commands, PID target/feedback, or thermistor input. Multi-function relay outputs (RA1, RB1, RC1, RA2, RC2, RA3, RC3) provide various monitor signals.
For installations with long motor cables, AC output reactors can be installed to reduce surge voltages and protect motor insulation. Sine-wave filters can extend motor cable lengths up to 1000 meters by converting PWM output to a smooth sine wave. Zero phase reactors are available to suppress interference in signal cables.
The drive incorporates several features to aid in maintenance and troubleshooting:
