Line protection
- Each controller includes a GFCI (Ground
Fault protection) and 16 A over current
protection (integrated to the GFCI).
- No fuse.
Di󰀨erential circuit breaker
Voltage 200-240 V
Max. current 16 A
Curve D
Di󰀨erential sensitivity 30 mA
For information:
- standby consumption is 17 W.
- the max power available supplied via the
24V power supply (between pin 2 and 3 on
I/O connector):
CVI3 Essential, CVI3 Vision or CVI3
Function: 1 A (24V)
TWINCVI3: 2 A (24V).
Power consumption
The apparent power consumption is the only
needed information.
S = apparent power measured in Volt-Amps (VA)
S = U

x I
rms
The apparent power peak is 6 kVA.
The duration of the peak is < 0.5 s.
CVI3 Essential / CVI3 Function / CVI3 Vision
The mean apparent power is always ≤ 1 kVA.
Single Phase 200-240 V I
rms
4.35 A
Single Phase 100-120 V I
rms
8.7 A
TWINCVI3
The mean apparent power is always ≤ 2 kVA.
Single Phase 200-240 V I

8.7 A
Single Phase 100-120 V I
rms
17.4 A
External power consumption
The decision to in󰀬all an external di󰀨erential
circuit-breaker depends on the type of internal
electric network in the cu󰀬omer’s plant.
This device detects any insulation defect
between one of the phases of the network and
the earth, immediately 󰀬ops the tool by automatic
power cuto󰀨 and protects the operator from any
electric shock.
Should circuit-breakers be in󰀬alled at the line
head, we recommend that you select equipment
with the following specications:
- Single-phased 240V 16A - curve D
- Single-phased 110V 32A - curve D.
Controller power consumption: current inlet
Apparent power (S)

In a CVI3 controller, the power peak is 5kW.
To dimension an installation, the apparent power
consumption is the only needed information.
