Virtual Single Channel (VSC)
If both channels are populated with different memory configurations,
the MCH defaults to Virtual Single Channel.
Dual Channel (DC)
Dual channel provides better system performance because it doubles
the data transfer rate.
BIOS Setting
“Memory Frequency For” in the Advanced Chipset Features
submenu of the BIOS must be set accordingly.
Only one socket is populated with
DIMM.
The two DIMM sockets are populated
with different memory configurations.
The two DIMM sockets are populated
with identical memory configurations.
