Question and Answer IconNeed help?

Do you have a question about the DGSHAPE DWX-53DC and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

This document provides an installer guide for the DWX-53DC dental cutting machine, a device designed for creating dental prostheses such as crowns, copings, and bridges. The machine is capable of processing various materials, including dental cutting ceramics, resin materials, dental casting wax, and non-cast cobalt-chromium alloy.

Function Description:

The DWX-53DC is a dental cutting machine that utilizes special software installed on a computer to create high-quality prostheses. A key feature is its disc changer, which automatically manages and switches up to six cutting materials, enabling continuous machining without waste. The machine is designed for tabletop mounting and requires a minimum installation distance of 0.6 m from the work floor to ensure easy access to the power switch and other operating parts during operation.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Accessories: Power Cord, Power Plug Adapter, USB Cable, Safety Precautions, Quick Access Guide, Detection Pin, Automatic Correction Tool, Torque Driver, T-Type Six Sumi Screwdriver, L-Type Six Sumi Wrench, Collet Mounting and Dismounting Jig, Milling Bar Holder, Milling Bar Positioning Jig, Regulator, Bar Code Label, Standard Adapter, Open Edge Adapter, Adapter Rack, Adapter for Pin Material, Milling Bar, Tablet Holder, etc.

Usage Features:

  • Installation: The machine weighs 120 kg and requires at least four persons for safe loading, unloading, and installation. It is crucial to hold the projector by the designated parts when lifting. The installation location must be level, stable, and capable of supporting the unit's weight to prevent accidents. It should not be exposed to fire, flammable materials, gas, or outdoor elements, and should be free from large temperature/humidity changes, shaking, vibration, dust, direct sunlight, heating/cooling equipment, or electrical/magnetic noise. The power plug must always be easily accessible for quick disconnection in emergencies.
  • Compressed Air Supply: The DWX-53DC requires compressed air from a separately prepared compressor. The compressed air pressure must be 1.0 MPa or less to prevent explosions. The air supplied must be free from water, oil, chemicals, and foreign matter to avoid damage to parts. The air hose must be securely connected before supplying compressed air. Recommended compressor conditions include a control pressure within 0.5 to 1.0 MPa, an air flow of 66 L/min or more (per unit), an oil-free type, and a dryer to prevent rust from moist air.
  • Connecting to a Computer: The machine connects to a computer via USB. System requirements include Windows 11 (64-bit), 10, or 8.1 (32, 64-bit), a fourth-generation Core i5 equivalent CPU, 8 GB RAM or more, a video card supporting 1024 x 768 dots with 256 colors or more, and at least 200 MB of free hard disk space (20 GB or more for error video recording). The accompanying software, VPanel, is a 32-bit application that runs on 64-bit Windows with WOW64.
  • VPanel Software: VPanel is permanent software used to manage the machine and send e-mails (e.g., for machining completion or errors). It is recommended to set VPanel to start automatically with the computer.
  • Connecting Multiple Units: When connecting two or more DWX-53DC units to a single computer, each unit must have a unique ID. Failure to change the ID can lead to system shutdowns or driver installation issues.
  • Tablet Terminal Usage: The machine supports operation via a tablet device, which can be hung on the front of the aircraft. Cables for USB connectivity and tablet charging can be routed through the machine's interior. A cushion should be fitted to the tablet's back to prevent contact with the built-in panel and potential malfunctions.
  • Mini PC Usage: A mini-PC can be fixed to the VESA mount on the back of the unit, provided it conforms to VESA FDMI Standard Part D (100 × 100 mm mounting hole).

Maintenance Features:

  • Fastener Removal: For transport, the unit is fitted with four fasteners to protect against vibrations. These must be removed after installation, as operating the machine with them attached can cause malfunctions. The fasteners and screws should be kept in a safe place for future transport.
  • Air Nozzle Retightening: Screws for the air nozzle inside the maintenance cover may loosen during shipping. These should be retightened after installation for safe use.
  • Disc Changer Running-in: Before starting work, the disc changer requires a running-in operation to stabilize its up/down movement. This is initiated via VPanel.
  • Spindle Habituation: A spindle habituation operation is performed to stabilize the rotation of the spindle by spreading grease on the sliding parts. This is also initiated via VPanel.
  • Cutting Position Correction: The machine features automatic correction of the cutting position. This function compares the value calculated from sensors with the actual value and corrects the position of the workpiece zero point. This involves cleaning the detection pin and the automatic correction tool, then attaching the correction tool to an adapter stocker and performing the automatic correction via VPanel.
  • Cleaning: The detection pin and automatic correction tool should be cleaned regularly. The milling area cover, adapter area cover, tool area cover, and dust harvesting hose attachments should not be present during cleaning or maintenance procedures.
  • Torque Screwdriver Usage: When using a torque screwdriver, it is important to use a handle and bit, and not sleeves, for certain operations. For specific tasks, a 0.6 N·m red sleeve is attached and tightened until the driver runs idle.
  • Water Receiver: The regulator bowl accumulates water, which is drained from the drain hose. A water pan should be set to collect this water.
  • Power Off: To turn off the machine, simply switch off the aircraft's power switch.
  • Cable Management: When connecting or disconnecting cables, the aircraft must always be powered off to prevent damage.
