Configure Packet Assembler Dissassembler (PADS)
Packet Assembler Disassembler (PADS) provides an interface between a character based serial
connection and an X.25 synchronous packet switched network.
There are two main elements to the configuration procedure for accessing X.25 networks:
n General and service related parameters
n PAD parameters (X.3)
TransPort routers have four pre-defined standard PAD profiles numbered 50, 51, 90 and 91. You can
also create up to four custom PAD profiles numbered 1 to 4 for each PAD instance.
ÉWeb
1. Go to Configuration > Network > Legacy Protocol > X.25 > PADs .
Each X.25 PAD configuration page also includes a sub-page detailing the X.3 PAD parameters.
Collectively this set of values is known as a PAD profile. Y
