Optoelectronic retro reflective type sensor. (Wenglor KR87NCT2)
This sensor is mounted across (standard fitment) or overhead the infeed and
scale conveyors.
The sensors are supplied 24v from the 24v terminal rail inside the control box
Inside the electrical cabinet the incoming
Wenglor sensor cable has wires coloured
Brown (+24v)
Black (signal)
Blue (0v)
This cable connects to the machines
cable form changing the wire colours to:
Red (+24v)
Purple (signal for infeed / sens 1)
Green (signal for scale / sens 2)
Black (0v)
Each cable form has an additional wire
with a 2 way Molex connector. This is the
teach wire connection
Teach mode
The sensor is set up using a teach mode build into the sensor.
To allow the teach mode to operate, the single white & brown wires
(teach wire connection as shown above) needs to be disconnected us-
ing the 2 way Molex plug.
Once the teach operation has been completed, the Molex plug can be
reconnected, this will prevent any further adjustment in the teach mode.
Normally, the required mode is already set and the sensor is ready
to sense clear packs. If sensing problems occur with customer
pack, follow details in the servicing section to set the sensor.
