In the Utility Menu of the Digimet there is
the Upload-Print all Data command. This
will upload all the numeric data at the
same time from the Digimet to the
computer.
First, connect the Digimet and the
computer,
Second, press Upload All command on the
computer screen, Third press Upload-Print
all Data item number 1 in the Digimet
Utility Menu. As soon as you do this, the
word Menu to abort will appear at the
bottom of the Digimet screen. When that
goes away the Digimet has completed the
send. Now, press the Upload All
command, (which is now Done Upload All.
in red) on the computer screen.
Note: If you have a Digimet version 3.0
and above, do the First step as listed
above, but continue with the Second
step here:
Second, Press the Upload All command
button on the DigiData screen. The caption
on the button will change to Press Enter-
Digimet. Press the Enter key on the
Digimet. The caption on the button on the
DigiData screen will change to
Uploading. When the computer and
Digimet are done uploading, the program
will beep and the caption on the button will
change to Press here-Done. Press the
button and the Digimet 3000 data will
appear in its respective slots in the
DigiData program.
Note: If you are uploading just a few items,
for example, 2 Vacuum Level items, you
may need to press the Enter key a few
times to get the button to change from
Press Enter-Digimet to Uploading.
All your data will now be in their
appropriate slots in the program. Note:
This data is now in the computers memory
to save it you must go to File - Save As -
Save As (data, archive files) and save data
to a file. These files can be saved with
a .dm3 ending. Dm3 files can be viewed
again on the computer by File-Open. Only
dm3 files can be viewed on the computer
screen. See section on Saving Files.
Upload Graph
This command is for uploading graphs
from the Digimet to the computer meant
for display on the computer. Let me
explain, the Digimet stores two types of
graphs, 1) graphs for display on the
Digimet Printer and 2) graphs for display
on the computer monitor. Graphs viewed
on the computer monitor could also be
printed to the computers printer.
Graphs are transferred from the Digimet
using the Upload Graphic Data command
in the Digimet Utility Menu. The Upload
Graphic Data command would be chosen
in the computer and the graph would be
saved as a .dgr file in the computer. This
graph can be displayed on the computer
screen with the Display Graph command.
The Upload Graphic Data command on
the computer screen is specifically for
graphs that will be viewed on the computer
screen and not graphs that will be printed
to the Digimet Printer.
Upload graphic data from the Digimet to
the Computer using the following steps:
1. Connect the 6 foot serial cable to the
Digimet and the computers serial port.
2. Open the Digidata program.
