Spillages
Ventilation
Solvent based printing inks and their vapours are flammable.
• Provide an extraction system to remove fumes and vapours from the
production line and from anywhere else that the printer may be operated.
• 10 air changes per hour is the minimum required.
• 20 air changes per hour is recommended.
WARNING: Flammable material. Risk of fire and personal injury.
Clean up all ink spillages immediately.
Do not allow the ink to dry or allow any build-up of dried ink spills.
Some dried inks are highly flammable.
WARNING: Electric shock hazard. Risk of personal injury.
Switch off power to the printer while cleaning up spillages inside the
printer.
CAUTION: Hazardous Chemical. Risk to the environment.
Do not let spillages or residue from cleaning enter drains or sewage
systems.
Do not treat ink, make-up and associated fluids as ordinary waste.
Dispose of ink, make-up and items contaminated with ink or make-up
using approved methods that obey local regulations.
Clean up ink and make-up spillages as soon as possible.
