MAINTAINING:
THE TOW-BEHIND DR FIELD and BRUSH MOWER
This chapter covers regular maintenance procedures that will ensure the best performance and long life of
your TOW-BEHIND DR FIELD and BRUSH MOWER. For Engine maintenance, please refer to the Engine
Owner’s Manual that came with your machine. Service intervals listed in the checklist below supercede
those listed in the Engine Owner’s Manual.
SOME OF THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES REQUIRE ACCESS TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE MACHINE. IF
YOU NEED TO TIP THE MACHINE BACK OR ON ITS SIDE, YOU MUST FIRST DISCONNECT THE SPARK
PLUG WIRE(S), AND DRAIN THE OIL AND GAS.
Regular Maintenance Check List
NOTE: Consider the service intervals shown as maximum under normal operating conditions. Increase
frequencies under extremely dirty or dusty conditions.
Procedure
Before Each Use Every 10 Hrs Every 25 Hrs Every 100 Hrs
Check Engine Oil Level
Check General Condition, e.g. nuts,
bolts, welds, etc.
Check the Blades Sharpness
Clean Engine Exterior & Cooling Fins
Check Cable connections
Check Tire Pressure to be 28psi
Change Engine Oil and Filter 1

Replace Air Filter
Replace Spark Plug(s)
Replace In-line Gas Filter
