Troubleshooting
Alarm – Cause – Remedy
The terminology for the O2 sensor has changed.
The causes and remedies for the following alarms have been
changed.

(8) O
2 SENSOR FAIL ! The O2 sensor was not cor-
rectly calibrated.
Perform the procedure for
calibration of the O
2 sensor
(see chapter on calibrating
the O2 sensor).
O
2 sensor capsule replaced
and/or the O
2 sensor not cali-
brated.
Perform the procedure for
calibration of the O
2 sensor
(see chapter on calibrating
the O
2 sensor).
O
2 sensor capsule used up. Replace O2 sensor capsule
and calibrate.
O
2 sensor not connected.
Sensor cable faulty.
Connect the O2 sensor
cable. Replace O
2 sensor
housing unit.
(6) O
2 SENSOR CAL DUE ! More than 18 hours have
passed since the last O
2 sen-
sor calibration.
Perform the procedure for
calibration of the O
2 sensor
(see chapter on calibrating
the O2 sensor).

(31) INSP O2 LOW !!! Inspiratory O2 concentration
is below the lower alarm limit.
Check O2 supply. Check
the setting of the flow con-
trol valve and lower O2
alarm limit.
Incorrect setting of the switch
on the external fresh-gas out-
let.
Check the setting of the
switch on the external
fresh-gas outlet.
(21) FRESH GAS LOW !! Insufficient fresh-gas supply
in all ventilation modes.
Ensure sufficient fresh-gas
supply.
Hose blocked/kinked. Check hoses.
Leakage in the breathing sys-
tem.
Hose not connected to the
breathing system.
Check breathing system.
Incorrect setting of the switch
on the external fresh-gas out-
let.
Check the setting of the
switch on the external
fresh-gas outlet.
