To set up t he USB WAN for DHCP mode, go t o [WAN] > [Internet Access]
Select 3G/ 4G USB Modem (DHCP mode) from t he drop-down box
Click t he Details Page but t on t o cont inue:
In t he USB WAN set t ings, select t he Enable opt ion t o enable t he WAN int erf ace.
Ent er a SIM PIN code only if your SIM card has a PIN set on it , ot herwise leave t his
blank.
Network Mode default s t o 4G/ 3G/ 2G which will aut o-select t he net work t ype t o
connect t o and will use whichever mode t he base st at ion recommends. Set t ing
t his t o a specif ic mode will force t hat connect ion t ype, f or inst ance “ 4G Only”
will connect using 4G specif ically
The APN Name will t ypically not need t o be set wit h a USB modem t hat uses
DHCP mode, however if t he modem cannot connect t hen ent er t he APN for t he
SIM card used in t he modem.
Click OK t o save and apply t he changes.
If t he modem is det ect ed successf ully, t he WAN int erf ace should be able t o
connect . St at us inf ormat ion can be viewed on t he [Online Status] > [Physical
Connection] sect ion as WAN3. If t here is a successful connect ion, t he WAN
int erf ace t ext will show in green and will show an IP address.
