8.0 Safety Instructions
Thisequipmentisstationary-fixedandmustbeinstalledbyServicePersonsonly(ServicePersonis
definedasapersonhavingtheappropriatetechnicaltrainingandexperiencenecessarytobeaware
ofhazardstowhichthatpersonmaybeexposedinperformingataskandofmeasurestominimize
theriskstothatpersonorotherpersons).Itmustbeinstalledandusedwithinanenvironmentthat
providesthepollutiondegreemax2,overvoltagescategoryII,innon-hazardous,indoorlocations
only.
WARNING!Whenusingequipmentconnectedtothemainsand/ortothetelecommunicationnet-
work,therearebasicsafetyinstructionsthatshouldalwaysbefollowed.Refertothesafetyinstruc-
tionsprovidedwiththisproductandsavethemforfuturereference.Toreducetheriskoffire,
electricshockand/orinjury,observethefollowing:
l Donotattempttoservicethisproductyourself.Openingorremovingthecovermay
exposeyoutodangerousvoltageorotherrisk.Referservicingtoservicepersons.Never
openthedeviceyourself.
l Useauthorizedaccessoriesonlywiththisequipment.
l DONOTleaveand/ordepositANYobjectonthetopofthecabinetofthisequipment!
Thecabinetasitisinstalledonthewallisnotdesignedtosupportanysupplementary
weight!
l Donotspillanyliquidsonthecabinet.
l Donottouchtheequipmentanditsconnectedcablesduringanelectricalstorm;theremay
beariskofelectricshock.
l Nevertouchuninsulatedwiresorterminalsunlesstheequipmenthasbeendisconnected
fromthemainssupplyandfromthetelecommunicationnetwork!
l Ensurethatcablesarepositionedsothataccidentscannotoccur.Connectedcablesmust
notbesubjecttoexcessivemechanicalstrain.Donotspillanytypeofliquidontheequip-
ment.
l DonotusetheAlarmsystemtoreportagasleakifthesystemisnearaleak.
l Donotsubjecttheconnectedcablestoanexcessivemechanicalstrain.
Thesesafetyinstructionsshouldnotpreventyoufromcontactingthedistributorand/ortheman-
ufacturertoobtainanyfurtherclarificationand/oranswerstoyourconcerns.
8.1 Regular Maintenance and Troubleshooting
KeepyourAlarmControllerinoptimalconditionbyfollowingalltheinstructionsthatareincluded
withinthismanualand/ormarkedontheproduct.Itistheend-userand/orinstaller’sresponsibility
toensurethatthedisposaloftheusedbatteriesismadeaccordingtothewasterecoveryandrecyc-
lingregulationsapplicabletotheintendedmarket.
8.1.1 Cleaning
l Cleantheunitsbywipingwithadampclothonly.
l Donotuseabrasives,thinners,solventsoraerosolcleaners(spraypolish)thatmayenter
throughholesintheAlarmControllerandcausedamage.
l Donotuseanywateroranyotherliquid.
l Donotwipethefrontcoverwithalcohol.
