spring preload: 14 mm (0.55 in) from fully
uncompressed spring.
Recommended  for racing use:
rebound (1): open 8 clicks counter clockwise from
fully closed position;
compression (2): open 2 turns counter clockwise
from fully closed position;
spring preload: 14 mm (0.55 in) from fully
uncompressed spring.

The shock absorber is filled with gas under
pressure and may cause severe damage if taken
 by unskilled persons.
When carrying a passenger and luggage, set the rear
shock absorber spring to proper preload to improve
motorcycle handling and keep safe clearance from
the ground. You may find that rebound damping
needs adjusting as well.
Standard  of the vehicle as delivered (factory
 specified in the previous paragraphs)
correspond to a calibration which considers all use
conditions (riding conditions, rider's skills and
needs), and is the best solution for a  use of the
motorcycle on the road.
