The rotary switches that are located above each other (Figure 8.2: Rotary
switches with identical hatching) must be re-set to the same setting within
8 seconds.
If there are differences between the channels/rotary switches, the red "Switch
Error" illuminates and after 8 s an error shutdown of the Compact Flame
Monitor is triggered.

Only flames where the intensity reaches a measured value that is above the
intensity threshold lead to a flame ON signal. The distribution for the intensity
of the Y-axis (see Figure 8.3) is chosen randomly and is dimensionless.
