1.4. Warranty
AllDutchIDE-Bikesareofthehighestquality!Wemanufactureinaccordancewiththelatest
European safety standards and carry out various quality controls during assembly in our factory
inBeverwijk(NL).Wethereforeoeryouave-yearwarrantyagainstmaterialormanufacturing
defects in the frame. The other parts of the bike are covered by a two-year warranty subject to
normal use, which applies not only to the parts of your bike but also to any repair costs charged
byyourocialDutchIDdealer.Thewarrantymayalsobetransferredtoanysubsequentowner
of the bike (provided that this can be demonstrated within the stated warranty period with
an original purchase invoice). The stated warranty is only valid if a check is carried out by an
approvedDutchIDdealeraer500km(orwithinthreemonthsofpurchase,whichevercomes
rst).
There is a two-year paint guarantee for manufacturing defects, such as cracks and bubbles.
Damage to the paintwork caused by damage (through use), such as impact damage, should
however be repaired by an authorised Dutch ID dealer to prevent further damage (damage to the
paintcanallowmoisturetogetunderthepaintcausingittoake).Thepaintguaranteelapses
if,incollaboraonwithDutchID,anauthorisedDutchIDdealerestablishesthatpaintproblems
were caused by damage but the repair advice was not followed up.
Theelectricalparts,includingthemotorandoperangdisplay,arecoveredbyatwo-year
warrantyagainstmaterialand/ormanufacturingdefects.Pleasenote:weartomovingparts,
such as the gear hub, chain, chainring, tyres, front fork and brake systems is not covered by the
warranty.Thewarrantyonlycoversmaterialand/ormanufacturingdefectsaecngtheseparts.
Whilethebaeryisaconsumablepart,weneverthelessoeratwo-yearwarrantysubjectto
normaluse.Weguaranteeonlythecorrectoperaonofthebaery,notthecapacity.
The Dutch ID warranty does not cover commercial use.
The warranty period starts from the date of purchase. During the applicable warranty period,
allpartswillberepairedorreimbursedatDutchID'sdiscreonifDutchIDdeterminesthata
materialand/ormanufacturingdefecthasarisen.
ThefollowingwarrantycondionsapplytoyourDutchID:
TheDutchIDwarrantyisinvalidintheeventof:
Ҍ Failuretofollowtheoperanginstruconsand/orthesafetyinstruconsinourmanualand
resulngdamage.
Ҍ ModicaonstotheoriginalcondionofyourDutchID.
Ҍ Maintenanceand/orrepairoftheelectricbikeinviolaonofthemaintenanceadvice.
Maintenance and repairs must be carried out by an approved Dutch ID dealer.
Ҍ Incorrectand/orcarelessuseoftheDutchIDand/oriftheDutchIDisusedforpurposes
other than that for which it is intended.
Ҍ Damagethatarisesduringtransport(forexampleonaroofcarrier/bikerackortrailer).
Ҍ Damage that arises due to misuse or involvement in an accident.
Ҍ UseoftheDutchIDdespitethediscoveryofdamageand/ordefectsifthisuseexacerbates
the damage.
Ҍ Damagethatarisesasaresultofusingnon-originalDutchIDaccessoriesand/orparts.
