Regularly check the tyres of the e-bike for wear. If the tread in the middle of the tyre is no longer
visible, the tyre must be replaced. When checking the tyre, also check for cracks. If you observe
deformaonsinthetyre,thetyreiswornandmustbereplaced.ContactyourDutchIDdealer
for the correct replacement parts.
8.2.3. Checking the brakes
Adecreaseinbrakingforcemaybecausedby:
Ҍ Wornbrakeblocks.Ifthebrakeblockshaveathicknessoflessthan0.5mm,theymustbe
replaced. Have this done by a Dutch ID dealer.
Ҍ Airinthebrakelines.Itmayalsobenecessarytobleedairoutofthebrakecablestorecfya
reduconinbrakingforce.HavethisdonebyaDutchIDdealer.
Ҍ Defecvebrakeline.Checkforleaksinthebrakeline.Thisaectsthebrakingforceandmust
be repaired. Have this done by a Dutch ID dealer.
Ҍ Checkthebrakelinesfordamageorexcessivelysharpbends.Thebrakelinesmustnotbe
kinkedorcrushed,asthisaectsthebrakingforceofthebike.
8.2.4. Replacing lamps
Whenreplacingthelamps,checkthatthelampsarecompablewiththeBosche-bikesystem
andthattheyhavethecorrectvoltage.Intheeventofbrokenordefecvelighng,contacta
specialised Dutch ID dealer.
NOTICE
Make sure the old lamp is replaced with a lamp with the same voltage.
8.2.5. Checking the speed sensor
Check that the speed sensor is mounted properly. The spoke magnet and the speed sensor must
be mounted at the same height. The space between the speed sensor and the spoke magnet
must be between 5 and 17 mm.
Ifnecessary,thespokemagnetcanbeposionedcorrectlyasfollows:
1. Loosen the screw on the spoke magnet.
2. Slidethespokemagnetunlthemagnetisalignedwiththemarkingonthespeedsensor.
3. Tighten the screw on the spoke magnet.

Contact a Dutch ID dealer if you have problems reading the speed on your on-board
computer.
8.3. Annual check by a Dutch ID dealer
Have your e-bike checked and serviced by a Dutch ID dealer at least once annually. If you use
thee-bikealot,werecommendhavingyoure-bikecheckedatleastevery1000km.
Ensurethatyoustorethedocumentsrelatedtotherstserviceandyourproofofpurchaseina
safe place in case you need them for future warranty claims.
