3.5 Collimate the Target
To collimate the target, do the following:
1. To clearly observe the reticle, point the telescope towards the light, turn the diopter ring and
adjust the diopter.
2. Aim the target at the peak of the triangle mark of the optical sight, and allow a certain space
between the optical sight and yourself for collimation.
3. Focus the target with the focusing knob.
4. Optional: To eliminate the parallax between the reticle and the target when viewing
vertically or horizontally while looking into the telescope, carefully focus and adjust the
diopter adjustment.
It indicates that focusing is incorrect or diopter adjustment is poor, which will adversely affect
the precision of measurement or survey.
