Before operating this water heater, be sure to read and follow the instructions on the label pictured below and
all other labels on the water heater, as well as the warnings printed in this manual. Failure to do so can result in
unsafe operation of the water heater resulting in property damage, personal injury, or death. Should you have
any problems reading or following the instructions in this manual STOP, and get help from a qualied person.

• DO NOT operate this appliance before leak checking hoses and gas cylinder connection
To be installed on non-combustible base
1. STOP! Read the safety information above on this label.
2. Turn o all electric power to the aplliance.
3. Set the thermostat to lowest setting.
4. DO NOT attempt to light the burner by hand.
5. Turn the Gas Shut-OValve located on the outside of the unit
clockwise to the OFF position.
6. Wait ve (5) minutes to clear out any gas. If you smell gas, 
Follow “B in the safety information above on this label. If you dont smell gas, go to the next step.
7. Turn the Gas Shut-OValve located on the outside of unit counterclockwise to the ON position.
8. Turn on all electric power to the appliance.
9. Set thermostat to desired setting.
10. If the appliance will not operate, follow the instructions To Turn O Gas To Appliance and call your
service technician or gas supplier.
1. Turn o all electric power to the appliance if service is to be performed.
2. Turn the Gas Shut-OValve located on the outside of the unit clockwise to the OFF position.
1. This water heater does not have a pilot. It is equipped with an ignition device which automatically
lights the burner. Do not try to light the burner by hand.
2. BEFORE OPERATING smell all around the water heater area for gas. Be sure to smell next to the floor because some
floor because some gas is heavier than air and will settle on the floor. Test all connections with a commercial leak
detector or soapy water.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS:
DO NOT try to light any appliance
DO NOT touch any electric switch
DO NOT use any phone in your building
Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone
Follow the gas supplier’s instructions
DO NOT return to your home
ONLY
3. Use only your hand to push or turn the gas control knob. Never use tools. If the knob will not push in or turn by hand,
don’t try to repair it, call a qualified technician. Force or attempt to repair may result in a fire or explosions.
4. DO NOT
use this water heater if any part has been under water. Immediatly call a qualified service technician to
inspect the water heater and to replace any part of the control system and any gas control which has been under water.
