1.6. INSTALLATION RELATED
Problem Possible cause What to do?
1. My television does not
receive any signal from
the receiver (UHF only)
■ You did not select the
correct audio/video
channel on your TV.
■ Refer to the user manual
of the TV for instructions.
■ On the receiver, In the TV
system menu select the
correct channel and PAL
setting.
■ Use another method to
connect the receiver.
2. My television does not
receive any signal from
the receiver
■ You did not select the
correct A/V channel on
your TV.
■ Select the correct A/V
channel on your TV.
■ Youdidnotuseacorrect
SCART cable.
■ Use only a full featured
SCART cable that is
correctly shielded.
3. My television shows black
areas on the left and right
of the screen.
■ You did not select the
correct aspect ratio for
your TV.
■ On the receiver, in the
user profile menu select
the correct aspect ratio.
4. In a DiSeqC1.2 moveable
dish installation, I cannot
select a specific satellite.
■ The required satellite is
located outside the
selected East or West
limit.
■ If physically possible,
mind dish damage, revise
the limit setting.
■ Select another satellite.
5. In a DiSeqC1.2 moveable
dish installation, the
DiSeqC1.2 motor reacts
unpredictable which
results in incorrect
positioning of the dish.
■ The cables used are
worn, damaged or
corroded.
■ Inspect the cable for
possible damage and
install new cable as
required.
■ The cable is incorrectly
finished or not sufficiently
shielded.
■ Use sufficiently shielded
and correctly finished
cables.
6. During (initial) setup of
the receiver, no channels
are found.
■ You did not select the
correct LNB(F).
■ On the receiver, in the
installation setup menu
select the correct LNB(F).
■ When installed, you have
selected the incorrect
switch type or port.
■ On the receiver, in the
installation setup menu
make the correct
selections.
■ You have selected the
incorrect satellite to
search channels on.
■ On the receiver, in the
installation setup menu
select the correct
satellite.
■ You have selected the
incorrect search method.
■ At an initial setup, always
choose the option All.
