Air adapter
For non-intubated patients: Place the nasal cannula onto the patient.

NOTE:
1 You must perform a zero calibration as described in this procedure each time the
ambient temperature changes more than 10°C (for example during transport).
2 Always connect the airway adapter to the sensor before inserting the airway adapter
into the breathing circuit. In reverse, always remove the airway adapter from the
breathing circuit before removing the sensor.
3 Always disconnect the cannula, airway adapter or sample line from the sensor when
the sensor is not in use.
4 To extend the lifetime of the module, set Work Mode to Standby when the module is
not in use.
5 The sidestream CO
2
module continuously extracts a quantity of gas from the patient's
airway per minute. Please do not use this module in any patient who will be affected
by this sampling rate.
6 If the catheter falls off during the measurement, it is necessary to re-zero after the
catheter is well connected, and then measurement can be performed.
