To connect the electrical supply to the system through the connector supplied with the
pump, use the procedur
e as follows. Refer to: Figure: Mains input supply connector -
Han®40A (iXM200, iXM600 and iXM1200) to Figure: Mains input supply connector -
Han® K 4/4 (iXM3000) for your connector type. To use a dierent connector than that
supplied, follow the manufacturer's instrucons.
When you prepare the electrical supply cable, make sure that the earth (ground)
conductor is longer than the phase conductors. This will make sure that if the cable is
accidentally dragged and the strain relief bush on the electrical supply connector mang
half fails, the earth (ground) conductor will be the last conductor to be pulled from the
connector.
1. Aach the cable gland onto the connector hood.
2. Put a applicable cable, through the cable gland and hood. The cross seconal area
of the cable wires should be 6 mm
2
. Cables must be bare ended without ferrules
for correct clamping in the connector block. Refer to Table: Wire assembly
according to VDE 0295
3. Aach the coding pins to the connector block according to the branch supply
v
oltage as shown in Figure: Coding pin conguraon for connector type (200 V
supply for low volts, 400 V supply for high volts).
4. Before you start the assembly, use the hex (Allen) key as shown in Figure: Method
f
or connecng phase wires or Figure: Mains input supply connector - Han® K 4/4
(iXM3000). Make sure that the axial cone is screwed fully anclockwise to
completely open the contact chamber.
5. For the three live conductors (L1, L2, L3), carefully remove the cable insulaon to
the exact dimension specied in Figure: Method for connecng phase wires. Do
not twist the cable strands.
6. Refer to Figure: Mains input supply connector - Han®40A (iXM200, iXM600 and
iXM1200) to idenfy the connecons. Connect the three live conductors to the
connector block: L1 to a1, L2 to a2 and L3 to b1. Insert each wire completely into
the contact chamber unl the copper stands reach the boom.
7. Tighten the connecon using an appr
opriate Allen key as shown to a torque of
2 Nm. Hold the cable in posion while applying the recommended ghtening
torque. Refer to Figure: Mains input supply connector - Han®40A (iXM200, iXM600
and iXM1200) and Figure: Mains input supply connector - Han® K 4/4 (iXM3000).
8. Aach the earth (ground) wire to the protecve earth connecon on the
connector block as shown in Figure: Mains input supply connector - Han®40A
(iXM200, iXM600 and iXM1200) using the following:
▪ Prepare the end of the 6 mm

earth wire t
o a strip length of 10 mm and twist
the strands.
▪ Insert the wire into the earth terminal block.
▪ Tighten the connecon using a at blade screwdriver.
9. Install the outer cover to the connector block then ghten the cable gland
10. Connect the mang half to the electric
al supply connector of the dry pump system
(Figure: Controls/connectors on the rear of the system).
11. Aach a secondary protecve earth (ground) conductor (with a cross-seconal
area at least equal to phase conductor size) to the protecve earth (ground) stud.
