OPERATION
4.7.17 Module 17 - Damage Limit counter
Applicability: All control units covered by this manual.
Output bytes: None
Input bytes: 2 bytes form a 16-bit unsigned number which is the pump damage limit counter.
4.7.18 Module 18 - Speed Setpoint
Applicability: All control units covered by this manual.
Output bytes: None
Input bytes: 2 bytes form a 16-bit unsigned number which is the speed setpoint in Hz.
This module also allows the speed setpoint to be changed through the parameterisation process. The selected value
for setpoint will be written to the pump prior to Data Exchange if this module is selected for Data Exchange.
There are 4 bytes of parameterisation data. The first 2 bytes are a 26-bit number which must always be 18
i.e. 0x00, 0x12. The 3rd and 4th bytes form a 16-bit unsigned number which is the speed setpoint in Hz. The allowable
range for the Profibus Module is 100 Hz (6,000 rpm) to 1000 Hz (60,000 rpm) with a default value of 1000 Hz
(60,000 rpm). However, this range may not be acceptable to all combinations of pumps and control units.
Note: If the demand speed setpoint is greater than maximum allowed by the pump and control unit combination
then the setpoint will be set to the maximum allowed. Similarly if the demanded speed setpoint is less than
minimum allowed by the pump and control unit combination then the setpoint will be set to the minimum
allowed.
4.7.19 Module 19 - Xh Vibration
Applicability: All control units covered by this manual.
Output bytes: None
Input bytes: 2 bytes form a 16-bit unsigned number which is the Xh vibration in µm.
4.7.20 Module 20 - Xb Vibration
Applicability: All control units covered by this manual.
Output bytes: None
Input bytes: 2 bytes form a 16-bit unsigned number which is the Xb vibration in µm.
4.7.21 Module 21 - Z Vibration
Applicability: SCU-800 and 1600 only. SCU-750/1400/1500 will reject this module.
For STP-iX455 control unit - this module can be configured but data will always be zero as function
not used by control unit.
Output bytes: None
Input bytes: 2 bytes for a 16-bit unsigned number which is the axial vibration in µm.
