4.7.22 Module 22 - Speed Demand
Applicability: All control units covered by this manual.
Output bytes: 2 bytes form a 16-bit unsigned number which is the speed setpoint in Hz (decimal).
Input bytes: 2 bytes form a 16-bit unsigned number which is the speed setpoint in Hz (decimal).
This module allows speed setpoint to be changed (and read) during data exchange, unlike module 18 which writes
setpoint only during parameterisation (at the start of Data Exchange). Setpoint is written to control unit only at start
of data exchange and on change of value.
Setpoint is written to control unit EEPROM. To avoid early control unit failure this value should not be changed
more than twice per hour on average.
The maximum and minimum values allowed for setpoint depend on pump type - refer to pump manual for allowable
value range. If setpoint demand value is greater than pump’s maximum the setpoint will be set to maximum allowed
for that pump. Similarly if setpoint demand value is less than pump’s minimum the setpoint will be set to minimum
allowed for that pump.
