17.3 Replace the mowing blades."
WARNING"
A cracked, damaged or worn-out mowing blade may shatter at high speeds and cause
serious or fatal injury. To reduce risk of injury from broken parts, check condition of each
mowing blades before mounting at regular short intervals thereafter. Do not mount a
worn, broken or damaged mowing blade. "
WARNING"
Each mowing blade has sharp edges. If it contacts your flesh, it will cut you, even if it is
not moving. Always wear heavy- duty work gloves when mounting or otherwise handling
the mowing blade."
To replace one of the mowing blades (always use heavy-duty gloves): "
• Activate the disabling device. Important! Please carefully read the section 8.2 of this
instruction manual, titled "8.2 Disabling Device," for detailed instructions on how to
disable the device."
• Place the personal robot on a firm, level and flat surface for cleaning the upper side of
the personal robot. Protect the personal robot by using a protection means by laying
cardboard or fabric on the flat surface."
• Tilt the personal robot onto its front screen. Make
sure the screen rests on fabric or cardboard to avoid
scratches on the screen. Scratches on the screen
may hamper the working of the device."
• Hold the mowing disc with one hand (always use
heavy-duty gloves)."
• Remove the fastening screw of a blade with your
other hand. "
• Remove the blade, including the fastening screw."
• Mount the new blade."
• Use a new fastening screw to fixate the blade. Turn
the fastening screw until it is fixated and you cannot turn it
anymore with normal force."
