CHAPTER 1 –UPDATING THE SOFTWARE
1.1 – UPDATING THE PLC FIRMWARE
1. Format a USB key (fat 32).
2. Download the file : PLC_emscript_<version>.zip
3. Unzip the file : PLC_emscript_<version>.zip onto the USB key
4. Turn on the TOP7 and wait for the system menu or software start up
5. Insert the USB key into the TOP7
6. Wait for the update procedure to finish , TOP7 will restart automatically.
Procedure usually takes 2/3 minutes
1.2 – SOFTWARE UPDATE WITH USB KEY
1. Copy the file with extension LPU on a USB key
2. Turn on the TOP7
3. As soon as the blue progress bar appears , click on it
4. Digit password "2727" and press OK , to access the system menu
5. With USB key inserted , click on “Download PLC”
6. Select the LPU file containing the update and press the top right icon on the screen
(yellow folder with green arrow icon)
7. Wait for the message "Plc OK" , then press OK
8. Click on “Start PLC”
9. Wait for start up
Access to the TOP7 system menu can also be executed by pressing “SYSTEM” within the
“Manufacturer parameters screen window”. In this case procedure 1.2 , can be executed
starting from point 5 : with USB key inserted , click on “Download PLC
