ZIGZAG TIMING
If the machine is adjusted properly, needle should not swing when it is 5 –6.5 mm above
the needle plate.
1. Set the zigzag lever at the maximum (applicable to models 2005 and 2007 only).
Check : Run machine at full speed and observe one of the shiny spots on needle
clamp which must describe a single arch (Fig 1).
If not, proceed as follows:
2. Remove the rear panel (see page 5).
3. Loosen the two screws A (Fig. 2).
4. While holding the worm gear in place, turn the balance to another position.
5. Tighten the two screws A.
6. Attach the rear panel.
Note:
Lateral position of worm gear affect the play between gears.
This play is adjusted at factory in order to avoid noise and mechanical friction.
