© Remove the fabric and place a pin just inside the
bartack at each end to prevent accidentally cutting
bartacks. Cut buttonhole open with the seam ripper.
When buttonhole sewing is finished, push the button-
hole lever upward as far as it will go.
@ Ifthe button is extremely thick and difficult to fit
through the test buttonhole, you can lengthen the
buttonhole by pulling the button holder on the foot
back a little extra. The tength of the hole will increase
by that same amount.
