3. Vissez le
guide-ruban/Elastique (c)
au
couvercle
lat6ral
avec la vis
de
fixation,
en
alignant l'ouverture
du
guide-
ruban/6lastique
i la fente
de
la languette
largeurde
point
"2".
Glissez
le
cordonnet
par
l'ouverture
du
guide,
puis
par
la
fente
qui
se trouve
iuste
devant la languette
largeur
de
point
au
pied presse-dtoffe.
Tirez le cordonnet en arridre,
sous
le
pied,
en laissant d6passer d'environ 5 cm
le
cordonnet. Surpiquez
le cordonnet
de
quelques
points
en
dehors du tissu,
puis
cousez l'overlock comme
illustrd.
Lorsque
vous
cousez
l'overlock i 4
fils. le cordonnet
peut
s'ins6rer
aussi bien
sous
les
fils d'aiguille
gauche
que
droite
en
passant
le cordonnet sous l'une ou
I'autre ou sous les
deux rainures de la languette largeur
de
point.

cord, as well as tape
or
elastic less than 5 mm wide,
can be
easily inserted into a
seam. The tape/elastic
guide
(c)
makes
it easier to
guide
them.

To
change
the stitch
tongue,
remove the stitch
tongue
"1"
(b)
by looseriing
the screw
(d)
and
fit the
stitch
tongue
"2"
(a)
as shown.
3. Attach the tape/elastic
guide
(c)
to the side
cover using
the
guide
attaching
screw.
so
that
the
guide
opening
of the tape/elastic
guide
is
aligned
with the slot in the
stitch
tongue
',2".
Pass the cord through the opening
of
the
tape/elastic
guide?nd
then through
the slot
just
in
front of the
stitch
tongue
(a)
on the
presser
foot. Draw the cord back
under
the rear of the
presser
foot, leaving
about
5 cm of
the cord
to the back. Make a
few
stitches
on the cord
without
fabric. Then overlock
the fabric
with
cord as
shown.
When
overlocking with
4 threads,
you
can
insert the cord
into the seam
either between the
left
and
right needle
threads,
or between the
right needle thread and
the
edge of fabric, by
passing
the
cord
through one of
the
respective two
grooves
at the rear of the stitch
tongue.
