les deux
couvercles. Baissez
la barre-aiguille au
point
mort bas et
d6sengagez
la lame couteau
mobile.
Brossez
les
lames et leur
proximit6.
Engagez i nouveau la
lame
couteau
mobile et
montez la
barre aiguilleia
son
point
mort haut.
Nettoyez l'int6rieur
de la machine de toute accumulation
de
r6sidu
et
huilez
comme indiqud d la
page
7 sous
"Lubrifica-
tion ",
Remplacement
de la
lame-couteau
mobile
Si vous devez remplacer la lame-couteau
mobile,
proc6dez
comme
suit
(une
lame-couteau
mobile
se trouve dans le
sachet d'accessoires)
:
D6branchez la machine.
Ouvrez
les
couvercles,
frontal
et lat6ral.
N.B. La lame-couteau fixe
est
fabriqu6e
d'un alliage
parti-
culidrement
dur
et ne
doit
6tre remplac6e
que
trds
rarement.
1.
La
lame+outeau mobile
(al
6tant en
position
engagCe,
d6vissez la
vis
(b)
et retirez la lame.
Nettoyez la lame f
ixe
avec
le
pinceau
et sa
proximit6
de
tout rdsidu textile
etc.
2. Eaissez le
support
(c)
de la
lame mobile
jusqu'au
point
mort bas en tournant
le volant vers
vous.
Dans
cette
posi-
tion introduisez
la nouvelle lame
dans la rainure du
support
(cl,
en vous
assurant
que
le
bord de la lame
soit
i environ
0,5 e 1,0 mm endessous de la
surface de la lame
f
ixe.
Bloquez la vis
(b).
Remplacement
de l'ampoule
3. La
puissance
de
la lampe est de
15W. Tenez+n
compte
quand
vous
la remplacez.
Avant de remplacer
l'ampoule,
ddbranchez
la machine du
rCseau. Ouvrez
le couvercle
lampe
vers I'arridre. D6vissez
I'ampoule, vissez
la nouvelle
ampoule
et
fermez
le
couvercle.
N.B. Courroie:
La courroie
est r6gl6e
i l'usine
et ne
n6ces-
site
pas
de rdglage
de la
part
de I'usager.
1. Set
the moving blade
(a)
in its engaged
position
and
remove it by loosening
the screw
(b).
Brush
the fixed
blade and the surrounding area to clean out
any ac-
cumulation
of lint etc.
2. Lower the moving blade support
(c)
to its lowest
position
by turning the
f
lywheel towards
you.
At this
position,
place
a new moving blade into the
groove
of the
support
(cl,
making sure that the edge
of
the moving blade is
approximately 0.5
to 1.0 mm below the surface of the
fixed blade. Tighten the screw
(b)
firmly.
Changing
the
Light Bulb
3.
Maximum input of the
lamp is 15
watts.
Remember
this,
should
it
have to be changed.
To
replace the bulb,
first
of
all
disconnect
your
machine
from
the mains.
Swing
open the lamp
cover
towards the
back.
Unscrew
the light
bulb.
Replace the bulb by following the same
procedure
in
the
reverse
order. Close the cover.
N.B. Adjustment of th6
Driving Belt:
The driving belt has
been set at the
factory
and
requires no
further
adjust-
ment by the
user.

MAINTENANCE
Your
machine
will always serve
you
faithfully,
if it is
cared
for
properly.
First
disconnect
the machine from
the mains according to the
"Safety" recommendations
on
page
2.
Open both front
and side covers.
Lower
the needle bar
to its
lowest
position
and
disengage
the moving blade. Brush
the
blades
and the
area around them.
Re-engage
the
moving
blade
and
raise
the needle bar to
its
highest
position.
Clean any accumulation
of lint, etc. inside the machine.
Oil
the machine,
as shown
on
page
7, "Lubrication",
Replacing
the Moving
Blade
Should
it become
necessary to replace the
moving
blade, if
it
has
become blunt,
proceed
as
follows
(a
spare moving
blade
will
be
found
in the accessory
case):
Disconnect the
machine.
Open both front
and side covers.
N.B. The fixed
blade is made of a special hard alloy and will
not normally have
to be replaced.
